On Friday, October 17 at 1:00 PM ET, the Center for Governance and Markets will host, “FinTech and Capital Markets Development,” a discussion featuring Carol Biau. This is part of a series on fintech and development, which is part of our Future of Development Assistance series. The series is hosted by Maxwell DeGregorio (SPIA ‘21), Senior Associate at Milken Institute Finance at the Milken Institute.
Carole Biau is Director of Global Market Development at the Milken Institute, where she advances financial and economic policy in emerging markets. She founded the IFC–Milken Institute Capital Markets Training Program, which has trained over 220 financial policy leaders from 60+ countries and will be hosted at Georgetown University starting in Fall 2024. She also launched a sister program with the World Bank Treasury focused on public asset management. Prior to Milken, she worked at the OECD on infrastructure and investment policy in Africa and Asia.
