Tymofii Brik is the rector at the Kyiv School of Economics and National coordinator of the European Social Survey in Ukraine. He received a PhD in social science from Carlos III of Madrid, an MSc in sociology from Utrecht University, and a degree from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. In 2018-2023 he held visiting positions at Northwestern, NYU, and Stanford universities. In 2022-2024 he was a non-residential visiting fellow at LSE and UMass. His papers appeared in Governance, Journal of Comparative Economics, Problems of Post-Communism, East European Politics, and Sociology of Religion. His paper βWhen church competition matters?β published in Sociology of Religion won the N. Panina award in 2018 .
