Regional Orders and Integration

As global power diffuses, regions are increasingly important arenas for shaping order and cooperation. This program examines how states across Eurasia, the Middle East, and other parts of the world are forging regional frameworks for trade, security, and governance outside traditional Western paradigms.

We analyze how these emerging orders balance sovereignty and interdependence, and how they reflect distinct civilizational and historical traditions. By studying the institutional design and political logic of regional cooperation, the program illuminates the diverse ways societies organize authority beyond the nation-state—offering insights into the evolution of global governance in a multipolar world.
