Governing Through Shocks: Policy and Institutional Reforms in Asia and the Pacific

On October 5, 1:00 PM, in the Barco Law building, Joel Syquia and Mark Walter will explore how legal, policy, and institutional reforms help governments respond to external shocks, strengthen disaster resilience, and improve public financial management.

Joel Syquiaย is Principal Public Sector Specialist at the Asian Development Bank, with over 26 years of experience in governance, public financial management, and disaster resilience.

Mark Walterย is Founder of BluStraits, an advisory firm focused on legal and institutional reform. He has two decades of experience in trade and investment-climate reform across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.
